Creating a learner-centered environment

Dan Wright, a soccer coach from the U.K., tweeted the above picture. Is there anything better that a coach can do to enhance his or her players' learning during a game or practice?Rather than follow the coach's directions or stifle his or her own experimentation to reduce mistakes, this simple exercise encourages players to experiment and explore during the game. The coach gives the players permission to try new things.This is one of the best tactics that I have seen for creating a learner-centered environment.
